I’m not sure which ride to do, but I want to sign up now. What should I do? Make your best guess, sign up and train this summer. You can change your mind. We would like to know a few weeks in advance, especially if you change to a longer ride. We want to ensure rest stops 2 and 3 are well stocked for Middle Sister and Burly Girl riders.
Why should I register early? To take advantage of training rides for all levels, receive email updates on events and activities, guaranteed t-shirt and goodie bag.
Can my male friends ride Cycle the WAVE? What makes our ride unique is that it is for women only. The men in our lives were also wanting to ride when we started this 4 years ago, but now they are thrilled to be volunteers supporting the riders by changing flats, encouraging them along the way and standing on corners giving directions. We’d love for you to encourage your male friends to volunteer ride day and/or become your pedal partner through the Pedal Partner Giving Program.
Thank you for understanding……..those boys as much as we love them will change the dynamics of our social ride.
Will there be day of ride registration? No day of ride registration is expected at this time, sign up early! We don’t know the limitations the city may put on our numbers so please don’t plan on day of ride registration.
Do both riders on a tandem need to register? Yes, they both need to complete and sign a registration form.
Can I pay with a credit card? Yes, please see our Registration page.
I thought I could ride, but now I can’t. Can I get a refund? Sorry, no refunds. All funds are donated to domestic violence programs.
Can I transfer my registration to a friend? Sorry, we are not able to handle this request.
Can I have my registration applied to next year’s ride? Sorry, we are not able to handle this request.
Can I pull my child in a trailer? No.
Where does my registration fee go? All proceeds go to fund domestic violence programs.
How much money was raised? This will be our fourth Cycle the WAVE, the past three years we raised more than $150,000.
Where should I park? Limited parking will be available at Tibbetts Valley Park where the ride starts and finishes. Additional parking is available at the Park & Ride garage across the street from the park.
Sadly, I can’t ride this year, can I still be involved? We will miss you! If you’re in town, you may be interested in volunteering so please contact us at volunteer@cyclethewave.org. Or you can become one of our fabulous Pedal Partners and donate through our website.
